Welcome, weebs, to Animated Observations
We have reached day 8 of the 30 Day FMA challenge.

8. Least Favorite State Alchemist

Honestly, I never really liked Kimblee as a character, not because he is a villain, but because he is not a particularly interesting villain. He often times comes off as just evil for the sake of needing to be a villain. His backstory is pretty lackluster, being someone who fought as a state alchemist in the Ishvallan war but loved the sensation of killing as so teamed up with the Homunculi so he could do what he wanted. His transformation came as a result of using the philosopher stone and he realized he wanted to keep that power, which made him a lunatic. Overall I find his character archetype to be kind of boring, because it ends up being kind of predictable and unoriginal.
I will say that his interactions with scar near the middle of the show in Brotherhood were fairly entertaining, but if you are looking for interesting characters from FMA, maybe look elsewhere.

Really? Kimblee was one of the most interesting villains for me.
