Welcome, weebs, to Animated Observations
It is now day 12 of the second 30 Day Anime Challenge.

#12: Longest Anime I’ve Marathoned

The longest anime I’ve marathoned by episode count is probably Fairytail. The first time I sat down to watch it I finished 37 of the shows then 130 something episodes. Let’s just say I didn’t sleep much that night. Coming in at a close second though is Bleach, of which I marathoned about 30 episodes when I first watched it.
What’s the longest anime you all have ever watched? Let me know in the comments below.

That must have been a killer marathon. The longest series I marathoned was when I rewatched Kimba the White Lion so I could review it a few years ago. That’s 52 episodes even though I obviously didn’t watch it all at once.

It was definitely a wild night, to be sure. Haven’t seen Kimba yet, but I’ve heard a lot about it. Definitely want to check it out at some point.

I sure bet. Hahaha! Kimba is a very fascinating watch and there are two good reasons to watch it. That series is the first anime to be created and broadcast in color (Kimba existed before Speed Racer) and the bigger reason is that it’s proof positive that a certain other animated project stole a ton of stuff from Tezuka’s lion story.
