Although not for much longer.

Hey friends! I hope you all are doing well. I’ve been enjoying my time off from the blog as a way to recoup my creative energy, but while thinking about things in the future, I’ve made at least one big decision.

The Blog Name

I’ve had The Aniwriter as the name of the blog for about a year and a half now, and its a fine name, at least I think, but unfortunately I’ve just sort of fallen out of favor with it. I have been taking the last couple of days to think of something new, but as of right now I am not definite on anything. Also, if I am being completely honest, I was never really super in love with the name in the first place. It sounded catchy and I needed something new since That Guy Who Writes, the original name of the blog, was kind of generic and not interesting whatsoever.

Anyway, I will hopefully have this sorted out by the time I am done with my break, and I will post another update before the change goes through so that nobody thinks the blog just dissipated.

Content

Another problem that I have had is a lack of confidence in my content. More specifically, I mean the mixing of content. For as much as I enjoy writing poetry and short stories, I have never been sure whether or not keeping them on here with my anime content was a good thing or a bad thing.

As of right now, I am seriously considering, and am leaning towards, creating a new separate blog for my original works while leaving this blog as a way to talk about anime and other entertainment stuff, but again, I will decide officially in the coming weeks.

I know these are big changes, so any comments/advice is certainly invited/welcome. Thank you guys for sticking with me for as long as you have, I do greatly appreciate it. As always, links for support are below.

Hello, dear readers,

Sorry about the lack of posts in the last week. I have been busy dealing with the life-draining machine that is high school and haven’t had any time to write this week.

Aside from that, In this week of absence, I have come to an important decision: I want to change the name of my blog. I thought about it for a couple of days and I came to a couple of conclusions.

A Guy Who Writes sounds a bit boring and generic, and I would prefer the name of my site be something a bit more unique.
If I decided to do this later, it would just mean there would be more people to confuse and I certainly don’t want that.

The new name of the site will be The Aniwriter. Since this has mainly become a blog about anime, I wanted that to be more reflected in the blog’s title. The name will be changed about two days after this post goes out. Again, I’m giving this time frame so that people don’t unfollow a blog that hasn’t changed at all content-wise. My social media will, of course, be changed to reflect this as well.
