Welcome, weebs, to Animated Observations
So, writing this out now, I realize that the title I choose may give the impression that I was planning on leaving blogging, but you’ll be happy, or unhappy, idk, to know that I am not. However, I did want to talk about things related to the blog and money.
The Aniwriter has a Pinterest
However, before we get into that stuff I wanted to do a little bit of housekeeping. For those who are interested, I created a Pinterest for The Aniwriter where I will post all of the Aniwriter content you normally see, and in addition some other stuff like Thumbnails that I use for feature photos. So, if that interests you at all, you can find my Pinterest here.
Making Money off of The Aniwriter
I think its fair to say that most people would like the idea of doing something they love while also making money off of it, and I am no exception. That is why I have made the decision that I want to try and make The Aniwriter a part-time job where I actually earn money. The last year and a half of writing on my blog has made me appreciate it and the people who are willing to read, which is why I thought it was important to make this announcement. So, how exactly is this going to work?
Well, for starters, I am going to continue running ads on The Aniwriter and hopefully making a little money that way.
The second thing is that, as I have also been doing for a while now, I am going to continue to promote my Ko-fi as well:

So, if you would like to support me through there, that is one avenue in which to do so, but don’t feel like you have to.
Lastly, you may have seen other bloggers using affiliate programs to promote certain products related to what they blog about, and I have decided to pursue a similar path. Mainly this will involve a product link at the end of my posts and maybe one or two posted in other places on the blog. Similar to Ko-fi, this is not something you have to use, but I just wanted to inform you all that they will be there.
I have also thought using Patreon again, but I will most likely save that sharing that with you all until I figure out a way to make it worthwhile.
When?
The affiliate links will probably start showing up regularly in posts within the next few days, and of course, the Ko-fi button that it took me a while to figure out because I am really good with technology will be at the end of my posts from now on.
Why?
So, I want to be super clear: blogging is a passion that I have found and that I enjoy, and that I want to continue to be able to do on a regular basis. This isn’t to say that I would stop blogging if I make no money off of doing it. If that were the case, I would have stopped before I started. However, if this could become my part-time and possibly even my full-time job in the future, then that would allow me to do even more of what I love. Like I said, most of this is optional stuff that would help me in small ways, so feel totally free to ignore all this and keep reading.
